Working with Differently-Abled

Jagruti has initiated a right based approach to the differently-abled persons in the communities by equipping them with claims in the panchyat for 3% budget. Through this they have been able to get houses from panchyat, scholarships for students and petty shops for the differently-abled adults.

Trainings on the rights of the differently-abled along with community meetings have helped them to come together to stake their claims.
