Jagruti facilitated the implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), a central government act which gives a hundred days of guaranteed employment to every family in rural area.
Jagruti team organized the community in 43 villages to procure job cards, apply for jobs, and get wages.
This gave an opportunity for the village women to enter panchayaths, talk in front of the officials and stake their claims for their rights as per the government act. 2116 labourers were stopped from migrating and given jobs in their own villages. More than 1500 labourers were benefitted from these jobs during the drought hit period of 2014 - 2016 and earned Rs.30,000 per family. This money was utilized for construction of toilets, building their homes and education of their children.
By 2015, 76 lakes were desilted and reconstructed with an approximate cost of 3 crores of which 60% has gone to the community.
In the year 2016, 19 cow sheds, 8 houses, a school playground and 6 lakes are desilted. 25 marginal farmers got their 50 acres of land levelled. 157 houses and 387 toilets were constructed.

In 2017, 48 houses, 18 cowsheds and 171 toilets were built, 355 acres of land was levelled 76 lakes were desilted.

In 2018, 21 Gram Sabhas were made functional, 298 houses, 22 farm roads and 421 toilets were built, 151 acres of land was levelled, 93 ponds and lakes were desilted and 1752 families got jobs under MGNREGA.
